Hi there! I'm Kirsten, just another 20-something year old (princess) with an affinity for all things Disney. I have a Disneyland annual pass, an unhealthy obsession for Mickey Mouse, encyclopedia-like knowledge of Disney movies, and way too much time on my hands. Add that all up and you get Mickeyandminnie!

sleepingplum: If your going to Disneyland on New years make sure to go to California Adventure! I've gone for the past 3 years and they always have such a good theme. The ride lines aren't even that long on new years eve. You can get on tower of terror in 15 minutes.

YES YES YES, thank you for pointing this out. There’s always a mad rush to get into Disneyland on NYE that people sometimes forget that California Adventure is a great option too. On last year’s NYE, they even had a separate set of countdown fireworks specifically for California Adventure. I mean, how bomb is that?

lastnamebacon: How crowded is Disneyland like... 3-4 days AFTER New Years?

New Years is sort of the last shebang, and it definitely mellows out afterwards. People go back to work, kids go back to school, and Disneyland gets to recoup.

I’d say that week after NYE is a great time to go, because the crowds should be significantly smaller but the decorations will still be up (they stay up till January 8th) so you can still enjoy Disneyland in the holiday spirit.
