"I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse."
Hi there! I'm Kirsten, just another 20-something year old (princess) with an affinity for all things Disney. I have a Disneyland annual pass, an unhealthy obsession for Mickey Mouse, encyclopedia-like knowledge of Disney movies, and way too much time on my hands. Add that all up and you get Mickeyandminnie!

renatamorita: Is January a bad month to go to Disneyland? I mean, is it too cold? (At least it can be for me, as I live in a hot country and all) Oh and also, which days are best? I was thinking about going right after New Year, but, is it too full of people? :/
Not at all! January is an awesome time to go to Disneyland. There are virtually no crowds and wait times are almost non-existent. And it’s really not that cold, either. Southern California’s definition of “winter” is low 60s (Fahrenheit). Just bring a jacket and you’ll be fine.
dollaway: i don't know if anybody has asked you this already and i missed it, but i was wondering, which month is the least busy? (even though the "least busy" is probably still pretty busy... haha)
January and February are, by far, the least busy months. After the New Years holiday, people sort of clear out and the park gets really mellow until mid-March or so when Spring Break season starts.
Be warned: this is also when Disneyland does a lot of sprucing up throughout the park, meaning there’s a lot of construction going on. Also - some shows (e.g., Fantasmic! and World of Color) will only be playing on weekends.
augustegusteau: Hey! First of all, I love your blog! :)
I'm going to Disneyland this Wednesday and Thursday with some friends (so excited!), and i have a quick question.
i know you can pretty much buy tickets whenever, but do you think if i bought my ticket on disneyland.com tomorrow, that would be okay? i'm so excited, and i'm just worried that if i try and buy it with only a few days until my trip, something will go wrong. i'm getting a 2-day park hopper ticket. basically what i'm asking is: will i be able to? thanks!
You should have no problem buying your tickets early online. In fact, I would recommend it. That way you don’t need to wait in line to get them when you actually get to Disneyland - you can just go straight to the entrance! It’s much more relaxed that way.
I finally saw the new Soundsational Parade at Disneyland yesterday! It was pretty snazzy. Definitely a step up (or two, or seven) from last year’s Celebrate Parade. The floats were quite charming and they really harkened back to the more classic Disneyland parades.
Apart from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald, the parade also featured Aladdin and Genie, Simba, the princesses (Rapunzel, Tiana, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, and Ariel), Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Marry Poppins. And lots and lots of dancers in fabulous, twirly costumes. I want that job!!!
